Welcome to the World of Microbes: Tiny Creatures, Huge Impact.
They are hidden, much older than we are, and there are trillions more of them than there are of us. Despite its importance to us, most people know very little about the things happening at the microscopic level. Life, in small doses, welcomes you to a world where microbes are the main focus.
Why microbes?
Microbes are everywhere - inside us, on us, around us. We rely on them to break down food, prepare coffee in the morning, filter oil out of our water, and keep us healthy from diseases. Some cause illness, yes - but many more are quietly keeping the world running.
As someone who has studied microbiology and worked in healthcare, I have come to deeply respect these tiny organisms. People might be unaware of the facts associated with them. That is why I have decided to start this blog: to make microbiology enjoyable, interesting, and simple for anyone interested.
1. Stories of microbes that changed the course of history
2. Everyday places where microbes quietly thrive
3. Cutting-edge research simplified
4. Busted myths (spoiler: not all germs are bad)
5. And a bit of fun - because science does not have to be boring
No matter if you are interested in science, a student, or just want to know more about microbes, this site is for you.
Let's explore the Invisible
There is a lot more to come in this field. We will start by discussing bacteria, viruses, fungi, and archaea, exploring the world of microbes post by post.
Question for you:
What is one thing you have always wondered about microbes? Drop it in the comments - I might just write about it next!
